IP Systems > IP Networks > About The Network

IP Systems' fibre optic network operates across Australia and New Zealand with points of presence (PoPs) in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Auckland, Adelaide and Perth.

The PoPs are linked by a fibre optic core, configured in redundant rings so that data is instantly re-routed in the event of a link failure. The result is a high level of availability across the network.

IP Systems operates an Accredited Cisco Powered Network, which places it in an elite category of services worldwide.

Our data centres all have dual router functionality, with redundant access to the power grid, back-up generators, redundant air conditioning, 7x24 monitoring and fire suppression systems.

Network Architecture

Multi Protocol Label Switching Our Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) based architecture provides added security whilst enabling end to end management of Quality of Service (QoS). This enables priority to be set for various data types–for example voice (VoIP) and visual communications can be given preference over other data. It provides numerous other efficiencies in the management of your IP Private Network.
